Flamingo lagoon Floreana island Galapagos
Nikon D80 – 18 mm (= 27 mm full frame) – F8 – 1/250 – ISO 100
It’s not so easy to make photographs in the Galapagos islands. You are always with a guide and at least 15 more persons… when you are lucky enough to be the only group visiting the site, which is quite unlikely. Trails are narrow, well marked and it’s totally prohibited to put one feet out of the trail. Guide is walking with his group of tourists and you may not stay behind or apart you from your group. Fortunately I was with a comprehensive guide and was allowed for this picture to stay, at least a little, apart from my group.
Flamingos can be most often observed wading in small lagoons with shallow waters. Here, at Punta Cormorant, Floreana Island – Galapagos.
