Architecture and Cityscape Photography Quito
Latin America colonial architecture and cityscape photography – Quito
Quito, the capital of Ecuador. Cityscapes photos and a gallery of interior and exterior architecture photographies of famous historical buildings and churches.
I experience the same pleasure in photographing interiors and buildings as I do in photographing landscapes. Photography of interiors, architecture and cityscape photography are indeed very similar to landscape photography. One meets the same challenges. It is essential to immerse oneself in the atmosphere, beauty of the decor, details, lines, shapes, colors, before being able to fully capture in a photograph the “personality” and the cultural particularities of the building or interior.
Historical center of Quito is recognized as the best-preserved colonial city in the entire South American continent. Its magnificent monuments, its numerous churches, the atmosphere of its streets, make it an extremely rich subject that deserves a complete portfolio on its own.
Beautiful, accurate renditions of famous buildings, and highlight details that define different architectural styles and eras in Quito.

This was taken inside the Agustian nuns monastery in Quito. Mi first HDR image. There was 5 stops of difference, but I liked the texture of the walls and the view on the Panecillo hill. So I took 5 shots and used Photomatix to create this image ... Which I must say renders exactly what I wanted to show.
