On assignment travel photography works

An ecuadorian magazine asked me two coverages as a photographer but also as a writer :

– A story about the Huaorani Amazon Indians:

Indigenous people who are part of the 13 nationalities of Ecuador living in the Amazon rainforest. They are commonly known by the other ethnies by the pejorative term “Auca” meaning “wild people of the forest”. That fearsome tribe is famous defending its geographical scope with proverbial fierceness. Complete article can be download in pdf here and images are viewable under the Huaorani tab.

– A story about San Gabriel, a hidden little cultural heritage city in Ecuador:

San Gabriel is a small city in the north part of Ecuador. Cities like this seem to never change. Walking through its streets is like being there a hundred years ago.  Complete article can be download in pdf here and images are viewable under the San Gabriel tab.

Architecture/Real-estate photography

Some of the photographic work I have been asked to realize in interior and exterior architecture and tourism promotion of hotels and lodges.

Casa Guayasamin:

the house-museum of the Ecuadorian painter Oswaldo Guayasamin. Built between 1976 and 1979 It is an important piece for the time, as it breaks the parameters of current modernism that was on the rise, to stand out for its unique characteristics

El Rocio:

a 40ha hacienda in the Andes with buildings of architectural influence from the Spanish colonial culture mixed with a ranch house architectural style, known for its long, close-to-the-ground profile, and wide open layout.

Casa Rocafuerte:

a small typical hotel in the colonial center of Quito

Nicky lodge:

an Amazon lodge in the heart of the Cuyabeno National Reserve
